The 2021 Ford Escape: Take On Anything

Fresh off a full redesign, the Ford Escape is almost too perfect to change. However, for 2021, the Blue Oval brand has added all-new technology and comfort features as standard across multiple trim levels. In addition, the 2021 Ford Escape is still designed to offer maximum efficiency and safety for everyone you care about.

New Upgrades to Technology, Comfort, and Convenience

The 2021 Ford Escape has been packed full of cutting-edge technology, comfort, and convenience features for the coming model year. Adaptive cruise control and traffic-sign recognition will now be included on the optional Ford Co-Pilot 360 Plus package.

In addition, a hands-free power liftgate and memory settings for the driver's seat and side mirrors are now a part of the Escape's Technology package. In the Convenience package, you'll now have access to a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, and LED exterior lighting.

The 2021 Ford Escape has also been updated in terms of eye-catching appearance options as well. The Titanium model will now include an optional 19-inch wheel design.

Ever the Efficient Machine

For 2021, Ford has expanded the availability of the hybrid powertrain to both the SE and SEL trims, and it's now standard on the top-level Titanium trim. The plug-in hybrid model will include a 14.4kWh battery pack, which earns an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric range and an EPA-estimated 44 miles per gallon in the city.

Even with traditional powertrains, you can still expect maximum fuel efficiency from the 2021 Ford Escape. According to the EPA, the all-new Escape's 1.5L three-cylinder front-wheel drive model gets 27 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway for a combined rating of 30 miles per gallon.

The Escape's larger engine option, the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with all-wheel drive also performs extremely well, earning a fuel efficiency rating of 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.

Top-Level Safety Features

Ford SUVs are all about safety, and the 2021 Ford Escape is a shining example of this. The Escape has recently earned a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award courtesy of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

This recognition is due largely to the Escape's awesome arsenal of driver-assist features which includes elements like standard forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
