Process Prior to Repairs

Ford Bumper Repair Service
  1. Damage Assessment: One of our collision estimators will greet you and inspect your vehicle to determine the extent of damage. An estimate will be written, parts pre-ordered, and an appointment set for you to drop off your vehicle for repairs. If we believe that your vehicle is unsafe to drive, we will suggest that you leave it with us and arrange alternative transportation. If your vehicle was towed in, we will complete an initial damage assessment and contact you.
  2. Planning Stage/Blueprinting: A successful repair begins with a complete PLAN. In this process, we completely disassemble the damaged area to identify all damage, then determine the repair plan ensuring the repairs will return your vehicle to normal. Oftentimes, hidden damage is found like the in the inner structure, mechanical parts, or the suspension.
  3. Insurance Approval: If the cost of repair will be covered by an insurance company, we will contact the insurance company with the damage estimate. Estimate, supplemental repairs, and digital images are sent to the insurance company for approval. Upon receiving approvals from you and the insurance company, we will begin the process of locating and ordering the parts necessary to repair your vehicle. When a part is received and cleared by our quality inspectors, we will begin work.

Structural Repair

The foundation of your vehicle is the 'frame' or structure. In the Structure Repair area, the unitized body is returned back to the factory specification. Utilizing a sophisticated laser measuring system to analyze frame symmetry, we can ensure that this critical step conforms to the manufacturer's specifications.

Body Repairs Icon

Body Repair

Your vehicle has been repaired and now it's time for the 'walls'. The body repair department replaces exterior panels and all metal finishing that may be required. The vehicle begins to come back to life as sheet metal is installed and aligned. Collision-related repairs require some degree of cosmetic repair and often require replacement of factory tested & fit panels.

Paint Refinishing Icon

Paint Refinishing

Paint preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process of every vehicle. All panels are prepared for paint, then primed and sealed to assure good adhesion when the final top color and clear coats of paint are applied. We will only use refinished products that meet or exceed the original manufacturer's specifications and are backed by a lifetime paint performance guarantee.

Once your vehicle has gone through the refinishing process, we then reattach the other parts such as mirrors, moldings, and other hardware. At this step, your vehicle will undergo an extensive pre-delivery inspection. Miscellaneous post-repair activities such as wheel repair will be performed at this time.

Detailing & Inspection

The process or repair can become messy, but don't worry we'll be the only ones seeing it in that state. It will be cleaned, and all systems will be tested. Our final delivery inspection will assure that the vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition.
